The National Service Scheme (NSS) was evolved and introduced by the Government of India in the year 1969. It aims at developing amongst students a sense of participation in nation building through Social Work. This deepens understanding of the social environment and enriches his/her personality through actual participation in day-to-day life of the society. The NSS unit has been functioning in our college with full enthusiasm.
Objective:As per the fundamental principles of National Service Scheme, a volunteer is expected to remain in constant touch with the community. Hence, it is of vital importance that a particular village/slum is selected for implementation of NSS programmes.
Annual cultural and sports meet will be conducted in order to bring out the inner talent of the students. All students of the College of Nursing are expected to participate in various professional activities, conferences and scientific sessions organized by the Association. Membership is compulsory, on admission both at the local (branch/ unit) and national levels. Faculty members are appointed as coordinators at college level.
